Our Highschool and University Math tutor

Mathematics (Years 7–12), General Mathematics, Mathematical Methods/ Specialist , University Level Mathematics.

Why/How Did You Become a Tutor:

My journey into tutoring began with a deep love for teaching mathematics, cultivated during my years as a university lecturer in India. After moving to Australia, I wanted to continue making a meaningful impact through education, and tutoring gave me the perfect opportunity to connect with students in a one-on-one setting and support their learning journeys.

How Long Have You Been a Teacher/Tutor For:

I have over 15 years of teaching experience, including university-level teaching, and have been tutoring school students and University students in Australia for the past year.

What Do You Like Best About What You Do / What Is Your Passion:

I find immense joy in helping students build their confidence in maths. Watching their progress—from confusion to clarity—is incredibly rewarding. I’m passionate about creating a supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and enjoy learning.

Interests and Hobbies:

Outside of tutoring, I enjoy reading, volunteering in community education programs, and watching movies and web series too.

All English and Maths k-12, PDHPE, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, General Sciences VCE and HSC.

Why/How Did You Become a Tutor:

To see the reactions of students as I help them achieve their academic goals and to teach them key study tricks and tips I’ve learnt along the way.

Playing Oztag, watching football, and anything to do with health and medicine.

Why/How Did You Become a Tutor:

I became a tutor because I realised I had the skills required to be patient enough to teach! Tutoring in turn has taught me more than I could ever imagine. 

How Long Have You Been a Teacher/Tutor For:

I have worked as a tutor for almost 3 years now and I am still always surprised by how much impact I’ve had on my students and their impact on me when we part ways!

What do you like the best about what you do?

I like what I do because it gives me the ability to show minds that there’s more to school than rote learning. Facts become information when you’re willing to learn how and why these facts become important. Look close enough and you’ll see math and physics all around you!

Interests and Hobbies:

In my spare time I love to be in and around nature – the beach, the moon, the sky, the clouds and rainforests bring me joy. Needless to say, I’m also fascinated by all things Science!

What do you like the best about what you do?

I am drawn to medicine because it places service to the community at its core. The ability to support people not only in treating illness, but in helping them live richer, fuller, happier, and longer lives is deeply meaningful to me. Medicine allows me to combine scientific knowledge with human connection to make a tangible difference in the lives of others.

Volleyball, table tennis, running and travelling.

I have over 4 years of tutoring experience, working with students across a broad range of subjects and year levels from early learning through to Year 12. I tailor my teaching methods to suit each student’s unique learning style, ensuring that lessons are engaging and effective. Whether helping students build foundational knowledge or preparing them for important exams, I focus on boosting confidence and fostering a positive attitude towards learning.

What do you like the best about what you do?

The most rewarding part of tutoring is witnessing the progress students make over time. I love seeing them build self-confidence, overcome academic challenges, and reach their goals. It’s incredibly fulfilling to know that I’ve played a part in their success and helped them realise their true capabilities.

Interests and Hobbies:

I am currently completing a double degree in Law and Media and Communications, which allows me to engage with a diverse range of ideas and skills. Outside of academics, I am actively involved in community advocacy and youth activism. I also play netball and regularly go to the gym to maintain a balanced lifestyle.
